Kathleen recieved her B.S. in chemistry and biochemistry from the University of Iowa in 2013. As an undergraduate, Kathleen conducted research into the stereoselective synthesis of biologically active carbohydrates in the laboratory of Professor Hien Nguyen at the University of Iowa. She also completed a summer internship at MIT, where her research focused on the development of a colorimetric detection scheme for ethylene.
