Sarah received her B.A. in chemistry in 2010 from Bowdoin College where she studied peptide fragmentations by MS/MS. Following graduation, she held a short internship as a bioorganic research assistant at the University of Padova, Italy. She then returned to the U.S. to join QD Vision, Inc., where she contributed to advancing their quantum dot technologies as an R&D chemist. She joined the Swager lab in the fall of 2012 as a graduate student in organic chemistry. Her research focuses on developing conjugated ladder polymers for potential application in organic solar cells.
