Suchol grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. He received his B.S. in chemical engineering from UC Berkeley in 2012. As an undergraduate, Suchol worked on directed self-assembly of block-copolymers under Prof. Rachel Segalman and on proton exchange membrane at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab (LBNL) under Dr. Adam Weber. Suchol moved to UC San Diego and pursued his graduate studies as a NSF graduate fellow. With Prof. Darren Lipomi, he worked on the mechanical properties of conjugated polymers for stretchable and mechanically robust applications. Suchol joined the Swager lab in the summer of 2016 as a postdoctoral scholar.
