Research Description

Chi-Hsien was born in Kaohsiung, a harbor city in Southern Taiwan. She completed her undergraduate research on Photoresponsive Polymer Film under the supervision of Prof. Masaki Horie and received a B.S. in chemical engineering from National Tsing Hua University. She then pursued graduate studies and worked on stimuli-responsive complexes in the crystalline state with Prof. Masaki Horie at the same department. In the beginning of 2020, she joined Prof. Toyo Kazu Yamada’s group at Chiba University as an exchange student, focusing on manipulation of molecular deposition by scanning tunneling microscopy. She also joined the Stoddart’s group at Northwestern University as a Visiting Predoctoral Fellow in 2022, where she learned supramolecular tessellations. After obtaining her PhD, Chi-Hsien joined the Swager group in September 2023 as a postdoctoral associate.
