Rina hails from the Maryland suburbs of Washington, D.C. and received her B.S. in Chemistry at the University of Maryland, College Park in 2022. There, she worked under the mentorship of Professor Lawrence Sita on the synthesis of photonic polyolefins. Rina joined the Swager Group in fall 2023 as a graduate student in the Organic Chemistry program. She looks forward to developing porous polymers for catalysis and energy conversion applications.
