Lennon was born in Shenzhen, China, and spent his formative years in Singapore. He received his BS in Chemistry from California Institute of Technology in 2017. At Caltech, he worked in the laboratory of Prof. Robert Grubbs on the initiation kinetics of ruthenium-based olefin metathesis catalysts and new methodologies for organic and polymer chemistry. Lennon has also worked at the Institute of Materials Research and Engineering in Singapore, Materia, Inc. and Genentech, Inc. In the fall of 2017, Lennon joined the Swager lab as a graduate student in organic chemistry.
