Harry grew up in New Jersey and received a B.S. in chemical engineering from Columbia University, where he worked with Professor Luis Campos on the self-assembly of block copolymer thin films. Prior to graduate school, he worked with Professor Kent Kirshenbaum for a year at NYU developing peptoid-based therapeutics for prostate cancer. In 2017 he began graduate school at UC Berkeley with Professor T. Don Tilley. His work there focused on developing zirconocene-mediated cycloaddition chemistry to synthesize structurally diverse molecular nanocarbons. After obtaining his PhD, he joined the Swager group in 2023 as a postdoctoral associate.
