Graduate Student

Jennifer was born in Haiti but grew up in Boston, Massachusetts. She graduated from Tufts University with Summa Cum Laude and high honors senior thesis. She worked in the Clay Bennett Laboratory, where her research focused on synthesizing 4-methoxy phenol (PMP)-olivose into a continuous flow system using stainless steel tubing. She also worked in the Ira Caspari laboratory, where she focused on using the Practical Epistemology perspective to acknowledge that silent students have their own mode of participation and learn about silent students’ in-the-moment learning. In the summer of 2021, Jennifer was a summer research fellow at the Center for Sustainable Polymers in Jennifer Dunn's lab. Her research centered around quantifying the benefits of Center for Sustainable Polymers adsorbents in reducing Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances using life cycle assessment. Jennifer joined the Swager Group in the fall of 2023 as a graduate student in the organic chemistry program.
