Weize was born in Xi’an China. She received her B.S. in Materials and Nanosciences from University of Waterloo in 2019. At University of Waterloo, she worked in the laboratory of professor Jean Duhamel on studying polypeptides folding by fluorescence and simulation. She was also a member of Waterloo iGEM and working on modeling and simulation for Opotococultures. In the fall of 2019, Weize joined the Swager lab as a chemistry graduate student in the program of polymer and soft materials, and will work on solid particles and complex colloids with novel properties.
